This is an informative video showcasing some of the protocols Smiles Peru has implemented, following the guidelines recommended by the WHO, ADA, and CDC. The safety of our patients and dentists is our priority.

Disinfection and Safety Zone

Before entering our facility, all patients and staff members must follow a strict but simple safety protocol designed to protect everyone’s health and peace of mind.

Upon arrival, the following steps are required:

1. Temperature check at the entrance.

2. Disinfection with a low-concentration hypochlorite spray solution.

3. Cleaning of footwear on a mat soaked with sodium hypochlorite.

4. Use of protective gear: disposable cap, shoe covers, and disposable gown. These measures apply to both the patient and their companion.

5. Signing of the COVID-19 informed consent form.

Reception and Waiting Area Safety

To protect our patients while they wait for their appointment, the following measures have been adopted:

1. All magazines, brochures, and reading materials have been removed from the reception area.

2. Floor markers and decals indicate the designated seating areas, ensuring at least two meters of distance between individuals.

Dental Care Safety Guidelines During COVID-19

At Smiles Peru, we have implemented international standards to ensure maximum safety and hygiene throughout every visit.

Our clinical and administrative staff follow these protocols:

1. Continuous use of protective masks, face shields, and clinical gowns.

2. Use of disinfectant solutions to thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces between each appointment.

3. At the beginning of each consultation, patients are asked to rinse with a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide solution. While this does not completely eliminate the virus, it effectively neutralizes it.

4. The clinic is cleaned and disinfected continuously throughout the day.

5. Our air purification system operates 24 hours a day, filtering 99.9% of small airborne particles.

6. Handwashing tutorials are available in all restrooms to encourage proper hygiene practices.

7. Each patient may attend their appointment with only one companion.
