Full Mouth Reconstruction in Lima | Smiles Peru
Full Mouth Reconstruction in Miraflores, Lima
Full mouth reconstruction (also called oral rehabilitation) is the comprehensive process of restoring the function, health, and appearance of the entire mouth. It involves rebuilding or replacing damaged, worn, missing, or poorly positioned teeth to achieve a stable bite, comfortable chewing, and a natural-looking smile.
At Smiles Peru, full mouth reconstruction is planned and coordinated by a multidisciplinary team. Cases are led by Dr. Sylvia Pflucker, Clinical Director and specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Her expertise in interpreting 3D CBCT scans allows for highly precise treatment planning, resulting in safer, more predictable, and longer-lasting outcomes.
Many of our patients — both local and from the United States, Canada, and Europe — need a complete solution within a limited timeframe. We organize treatment efficiently so that the necessary appointments can be completed in a concentrated period.
“What I believe separates Smlies Peru from every other clinic I spoke to is the caliber of staff and equipment.”
“The staff here and the dentists are amazing.”
What Does Full Mouth Reconstruction Involve?
A full mouth reconstruction may include one or more of the following, depending on the individual case:
- Dental implants (single implants, implant-supported bridges, or All-on-4 / All-on-6 techniques)
- Crowns and bridges in zirconia or high-quality porcelain (including digital CEREC restorations)
- Porcelain veneers to improve shape, color, and alignment
- Inlays and onlays
- Endodontic or periodontal treatment when required
- Occlusal adjustments and, in some cases, night guards
The goal is not simply to “fix teeth,” but to restore harmony between the teeth, gums, muscles, and temporomandibular joints (TMJ).
How Long Does Full Mouth Reconstruction Take at Smiles Peru?
| Type of Case | Approximate Active Treatment Time | Typical Visits |
|---|---|---|
| Reconstruction with crowns / veneers | 5 to 7 days | 4–6 |
| Reconstruction with implants (Phase 1) | 4 to 6 days | 4–6 |
| Final restoration phase (implants) | 6 to 10 days | 4–6 |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is full mouth reconstruction the same as a smile makeover? No. A smile makeover focuses primarily on appearance. Full mouth reconstruction addresses the entire mouth — function, occlusion, periodontal health, and implant integration when needed.
Can everything be completed in a single trip? In most cases involving crowns, veneers, and restorations on natural teeth, yes. When implants are required, a second visit is usually needed for the final restoration after osseointegration (typically 3 to 6 months).
What materials do you use? We primarily work with high-strength zirconia and aesthetic porcelain (IPS e.max). The choice of material depends on the strength and aesthetic requirements of each area of the mouth.
Do you offer accommodation? Yes. We have corporate apartments near the clinic for patients coming from outside Lima. Availability and rates can be confirmed when you request your treatment estimate.
