Implants Case Studies

Real cases of single implants, full-arch hybrids, and combined reconstructions, planned with 3D imaging and restored in our own laboratory.

Implants and porcelain veneers

The patient came to us with irregular tooth shape, an uneven gumline, and missing back teeth. The smile line was asymmetric and the bite had lost posterior support.

We staged the case in four parts: gingivoplasty to level the gum frame, porcelain veneers on the front teeth, implants in the edentulous posterior sites, and implant crowns built to match the veneers. Digital analysis and 3D scanning kept the veneer shapes and the implant crowns in the same color, proportion, and occlusion.

The anterior esthetics and the posterior implants were planned as one rehabilitation, not as two separate treatments.

Full-arch hybrid reconstruction

The patient was edentulous, with lost upper-lip support and changed facial proportions. We grafted where the bone was short, lifted both sinuses, placed six implants in the upper arch and six in the lower, then restored both arches with CAD/CAM hybrid prostheses.

All-on-8 upper arch

Bradley presented with an edentulous upper arch, loss of upper-lip support, and an occlusion that was both misaligned and unstable. There were no remaining upper teeth to restore. The lower bite no longer had a stable opposing arch.

The upper ridge was grafted first to recover volume. Eight implants were then placed in the maxilla. After integration, the arch was restored with a CAD/CAM hybrid prosthesis made in our laboratory. Eight implants were used so the prosthesis could be supported across the full upper arch, including the posterior segments, rather than cantilevered from a shorter implant span.

How we plan these cases

Every implant case begins with a clinical examination. When bone volume or sinus anatomy needs to be confirmed, we take a CBCT scan. Implant positions are planned from that information, together with the design of the final prosthesis, before surgery.

If the available bone is insufficient, grafting is completed first. The definitive restorations are designed and fabricated in our laboratory so the surgical plan and the prosthetic plan stay coordinated.
