Dental Bridges in Peru: Frequently Asked Questions

What are Dental Bridges?

Dental bridges are used to fill in the space of a missing tooth with a natural looking substitute. Bridges can be supported by adjacent teeth, by implants, or by a combination of both.

What are the benefits of Dental Bridges?

Due to advances in dental implants and dental implant-supported prostheses, conventional bridges supported by adjacent teeth are not as popular as they once were. However, we continue to recommend them as a good, lower cost alternative to dental implants, particularly in cases where the adjacent teeth need to be crowned or were previously crowned.

What is the procedure like?

The procedure begins much like a crown procedure: the supporting teeth are prepared. At Smiles Peru, digital impressions are taken using our digital scanner. Our in-house digital lab will then use computerized technology to customize your bridges from the best materials, including Zirconia. Our dentists will place the bridge, making any necessary adjustments for perfect form and function.

How long do Dental Bridges last?

Our bridges are designed to last a lifetime with proper care.

What are the costs?

Costs depend upon the number of teeth being replaced and the location. Bridges are a cost effective option because they can last for a very long time. Contact us to set up an appointment for a dental bridge.

What are Adhesive Bridges?

An adhesive bridge is a dental restoration that spans an area that has no teeth and is connected to natural teeth at each end, preserving form and original aesthetics. An adhesive bridge requires very little alteration of existing teeth; often an old filling can be removed and the space used to anchor the bridge. Adhesive bridges are bonded to one or two teeth next to the gap and can be completed in one day at our Lima dental clinic.
